Earlier this year the HIC Yahoo group created a CD for Ian with songs suggested by a lot of us. I thought doing something similar for Terry would be cool. (The CD would be sent in honor of his Emmy nomination). I would love anyone who's interested to be involved in this. (I don't want the CD to be just from me.) I need song suggestions and any other ideas you have. I'm looking for songs that remind you of Locke (or that would be perfect for Locke) or that you think Terry will like. So far I have: - Don't tell Locke what he can't do- Moneen
- World falls- The Indigo girls
- I'm still standing- Elton John
- Cupid de Locke- The Smashing pumpkins
- Tusk- Fleetwood Mac
- Walkabout- The Red Hot Chili peppers
- Sweet the sting- Tori Amos

I forgot you were going to do this. How perfect that T was nominated!

It certainly is. I just hope I get some more song suggestions.

I'm really awful about coming up with songs like that. That's why I have only submitted one to LOST radio. But I'll try to think of something. When do you plan on sending it?

Either some time next month or early in September. I'll have to relisten to the Locke Lost radio show and see what songs were suggested.

I'd still really like to get suggestions from other people. I don't want this CD to be just from me. (So far it seems it's turning out that way.) What people did when they suggested songs for the CD for Ian was include a brief comment about why they chose that particular song. Those comments were put together on an insert for the CD. I'd love to do something like that for this.
The only problem with using songs suggested for Lost radio is I might not be able to find some of them on iTunes. (Cupid de Locke was one of the winners from that show and I have that song now. It' s a couple other songs I'm thinking about that may be a problem.)

Right. I still plan on trying to think of some good suggestions. What about "Crocidile Locke" from the LOST CD? After all, it's his theme song. Well, there are no words, but the music is awesome. But isn't that the main Locke theme song? I know we heard it again in S3, I'm trying to remember the exact ep.

That's a good idea. I was thinking of using that one. What I really want is songs that Terry will like. Here's a link where you can check out the CD that was made for Ian. (The songs chosen for that were not just about Desmond but ones Ian would enjoy listening to while jogging.) www.cusickgallery.net/video/index.php?cat=12(You may have to register to see this. Sorry about the inconvenience.)

Hmm, I'll have to look into the artists T likes and try to come up with some songs.

I know I read he likes Dire Straits but I can't think of any other artists he likes besides that.

Neil Young. I have a bunch of TOQ trivia written down. When I get home (I'm in MA at the moment) I'll post that on the trivia board.

Cool.
I'm getting kind of worried now that no one has made any suggestions. (besides the ideas you gave me). I wonder if this means this isn't a good idea. (I thought there would be a lot more interest for some reason)

I dunno. How did you get interest for Ian? Or whoever did one for him. How many songs do you have so far?

I only have about seven songs as of now. The one for Ian was discussed on the Yahoo group. Once the post was made telling about the project there didn't seem to be any problem getting suggestions. (The list actually had to be narrowed down there were so many songs suggested)
