This is from the National Ledger: October 19, 2007. Kind of cool.
NO NEED FOR THE GYM: "My work is my workout" says "Lost" regular Michael Emerson. The Emmy-winning, mild-mannered, somewhat nebbishy actor who plays Ben Linus, the evil head of the castaways known as "The Others," adds, "I continue to be amazed that I spend so much of my story line in scenes of violence because I'm not the most physical person. I think it's hilarious that I'm in an action program because I'm the last guy they would ever pick for running through jungles. And there are really physically fit people on the show, like Terry O'Quinn, Matthew Fox and Josh Holloway. … I'm always a little bit intimidated."
Still, Emerson notes it's his very lack of overt testosterone that makes him the perfect villain. "It's a reverse packaging. People like the idea that the scariest criminals come in the mildest packages. As if the fact that the neighbor was 'such a nice, quiet person, he helped me carry my groceries' is proof he's not a psychopath or a serial killer."

Michael Emerson is ALSO the man!!
I recently read an interview with Michael, and he mentioned how he and Terry were "joined at the hip" on the show and how happy he was that Terry took home the emmy. I'll try to remember where I read it - it was a great little blurb. LOVE them both!!

I've read that article, Tiger. Everyone seems to enjoy their scenes with Terry. He is such a class act. Of course, Edith and I would like to see Michael and Terry perform The Odd Couple. Love your banner. Do you ship Des and Ben?

Umm...I'm not sure, what does it mean to 'ship' Ben or Des? I saw that on the Fuselage but again, it was so cumbersome that I was too overwhelmed to play around much in that forum.

Since you don't know what it means, I'm guessing the answer is no. To ship two characters is to pair them off, often in a romantic pairing. Like I really enjoy the pairing of Locke and Des. However, it can mean in a platonic relationship, as well. Are Ben and Des two of your favorite characters? Mine are Locke, Des and Ben in that order.

I love the same three, but probably in the order Des-Ben-Locke. you can't go wrong with those three!!!
but I have discovered the 'ships' on the Fuselage - I've joined the Desmond Clan! But I have yet to find a Desmond-Ben ship. Which makes sense, because they've never interacted, but I'm hopeful they'll have some scenes together in the future. With Locke thrown in there, for good measure of course!

If you like Locke come join DOLT. There's also The Ship of Destiny and Faith dedicated to Des and Locke and Blockeheads dedicated to Locke and Ben.
