Gah. I made my banner. I type in img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v326/PrisBatty/Banners/Banner.png" in between brackets. Nothing. Absolutely nothing. Gah.
So, being the techno-tard that I am... what am I doing wrong?

All you need to do is put [/img] tags around the url and the banner should show up. That's what I did here. You also do that to have a picture show up in a post. The board uses BBcode which is slightly different than striaght html.

Will look up the proper tags and the BBcode on google and figure it out on Thursday probably. I'm watching the Fly right now - whee - then am busy tomorrow with July 4th plans. And working...

Hey, Xgirl, if you know of a way to add icons that people can choose from on the board, that'd be cool Banners, too.

Okay... I hate to look like a total moron... but I used this tag... [/img] with my url in the middle in the signature box. Banner is still not there. Am I doing something horridly wrong? *Edit*Nm. I did use the right tag, and I asked Kat to double check, and she can see my banner. I cannot. I've always had an issue with LJ but haven't posted banners in a while so forgot that my computer has issues occasionally. It doesn't help that I can see some banners, but can't see others (mine, xgirl's - for some reason yours won't show. ><) I think I just have one of those computers that photobucket hates. Sorry for me running around like my head was cut off. I left the original message to keep the code up just in case anyone wanted it, and didn't wanna hafta look it up on google. Just in case there's another lazy techno-tard who joins up... (<-- Hehehe. Lazy techno-tard. That's so me...) Thank you so much xgirl! Much love for the pointers.

Hey, Xgirl, if you know of a way to add icons that people can choose from on the board, that'd be cool Banners, too. I'll see what I can do. It wil ltake some figuring out since I don't think we can use something like the Coppermine photo gallery (what the Fuse and a number of other sites use). I wish we could but it has to be installed on a server and I don't think it will work on my webspace. I could probably set something up using the photo gallery provided by my webhost. People would have to e-mail their avatars or banners to me and I would add them to the gallery. If you let me know what picture you'd like I'll see what I can do.

A banner for this board, for your personal use? Give me some hints.
